The Boston Celtics, riding a thirteen-game winning streak, broke their fabled franchise record for the best start to a season; they have won twenty-one of their first twenty-three games. Even the great teams made up of Russell, Cousy, Heinsohn, Havlicek, Cowens, Bird, McHale never had such an impressive beginning to a season.
