A Visit from Santa


Sarah's six-month birthday included a visit from Santa. She was a little unsure of how to react to the big guy with the red suit and the long white beard. She tugged a little on the beard and after about thirty seconds decided that these people were way too scary! Thanks EB and Judy for coming by.

Broncos Championship Season

Previously, I've noted Will's (No. 10, above) football accomplishments in this blog. The Broncos were undefeated this year (6 - 0) and recently won the West Texas Christian Athletic Association Football Championship. The account of their season can be found here on the St. Andrew's website.

Snowy Houston

It does snow in the Houston area on occasion - yes, thirty-three times since 1895 (according to the local news); but, never this early in the "winter". An inch, or so, accumulated yesterday during the morning and afternoon. However, since the ground was reasonably warm, the accumulation did not last very long. The weather map shows the extent of the coverage along the Gulf Coast.
Our backyard looked very different under a layer of snow.
